Utobo Email puts four kinds of email on one contact list: newsletters, drip automations, cold outreach sequences, and transactional email sent from your app through an API.
The AppSumo deal starts at $39. Utobo's own Marketing plan for 5,000 contacts costs $32 a month.
The price is not the problem. The product is three months old, and the allowance is thinner than it looks.
The verdict? Consider. Here is how it scores against the way we review deals.
TL;DR. Utobo Email is live on AppSumo from $39 to $219 across three tiers. Tier 1 pays back in under two months. The catch: one 5,000-email monthly pool covers every channel, there are no signup forms yet, and the email product has no track record. Tier 1 is worth a refund-window test, not a migration.

What does Utobo Email actually do?
Utobo Email is built for founders and small teams who would otherwise pay for three tools: a newsletter tool, a cold email tool, and a transactional email API.
It covers four jobs:
- Broadcasts to your contact list, with an AI writer and a template library.
- Drip automations triggered by contact events.
- Cold sequences, with Gmail, Outlook, or IMAP mailboxes connected for replies and warm-up, and a shared inbox for responses.
- A transactional API and SMTP relay, with SDKs for Node.js, Python, Go, and Ruby.
It also gives 100 verified B2B leads a month and an MCP connector so you can run it from Claude.
utobo, Inc. was founded in 2021 in Mountain View by Raj Sahu. Its first product was a course platform, now called utobo Store. The email product launched on Product Hunt in July 2026.
Is the Utobo Email lifetime deal active?
Yes, the AppSumo deal is live.
It is an AppSumo Launchpad listing, AppSumo's programme for early-stage products. AppSumo runs the listing itself, so its 60-day refund applies. A price-increase countdown sits on the listing, so the launch prices may not last.
There are no buyer reviews yet.
The terms give lifetime access, all future plan updates, and upgrades or downgrades between the three tiers. You must activate within 60 days. There are no codes and no stacking.
What does the Utobo Email deal include?
| Feature | T1 · $39 | T2 · $119 | T3 · $219 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Emails per month (shared pool) | 5,000 | 10,000 | 25,000 |
| Contacts | 5,000 | 10,000 | 25,000 |
| Team members | 1 | 3 | 5 |
| Custom domains | 10 | 25 | 50 |
| Cold outreach mailboxes | 3 | 10 | 25 |
| Sequences | 3 | 10 | unlimited |
| Free B2B leads per month | 100 | 100 | 100 |
Every tier gets broadcasts, automations, cold sequences, the API, the AI writer, 90 days of delivery logs, and automatic bounce handling.
The row that matters is the first one. The AppSumo FAQ says every email sent through the API, a broadcast, an automation, or a cold sequence counts toward one monthly limit. Warm-up emails do not count.
On Tier 1, that is 5,000 emails a month for 5,000 contacts: about one email per contact per month, with nothing left for cold outreach or app email.

Utobo sells its channels separately. Its pricing file lists Marketing at $32 a month for 5,000 contacts, Transactional from $9 a month for 10,000 emails, and Cold outreach from $29 a month. Combining two or more channels takes 10% off.
The fair comparison for Tier 1 is Marketing alone, at $32 a month. Tier 1 pays back in about five weeks.
Add all three channels and the monthly bill is $63. AppSumo's "original price" of $49 a month sits between the two.
The maths have one hole. The paid Marketing plan for 5,000 contacts allows 50,000 sends a month. Tier 1 allows 5,000 across everything. The deal replaces the vendor's plan on contacts, not on sending.
What is the honest catch?
There are three.
The honest catch
Several features buyers expect are still promises. The founder confirmed in the AppSumo Q&A that there are no signup forms; he suggests Tally or Google Forms through Zapier. RSS-to-email and sending through your own SMTP provider are both "about a month" away. Buy for what has shipped.
The second is track record. The email product went public in July 2026. It has no reviews, and its status page is updated by hand with no uptime history. Deliverability on a shared sending pool is the thing a new email tool has to prove, and Utobo has not proved it yet.
The third is how cold email is sent. Utobo's pricing file says cold sequences go out through utobo's sending servers from your verified domain, not from your connected mailboxes. That means your cold outreach shares IP reputation with other users. Cold senders who want each inbox to send for itself should note this.
On the founder's record: Utobo's 2021 course-platform deal sold 609 copies and holds 4.57 from 14 reviews. A Zapier integration promised in December 2021 shipped in July 2022, about seven months later.

- AI-action and sequence-run limits are not stated for the deal
Who should buy Utobo Email?
Buy Tier 1 if you are a founder or developer who sends a small newsletter and some app email, and wants both behind one API.
Good fits:
- SaaS founders sending password resets, receipts, and a monthly update
- developers who already work in Claude and want to send email from there
- small lists under 5,000 contacts that email once a month
Use the 60-day refund window to test deliverability. Send real campaigns, check inbox placement, and see how quickly the 5,000-email pool runs out.
Who should skip it?
Skip it if your newsletter grows through signup forms on your website. There are none yet.
Skip it if cold outreach is the main job. A dedicated tool like WarmySender or Instantly sends from your own inboxes, and Tier 1's pool is too small for real cold volume anyway.
Skip it if you are moving a working list off Mailchimp or Brevo. A three-month-old product with no reviews is not the place to move a list you depend on.
How does Utobo Email compare to Brevo, Instantly and Resend?
Brevo covers marketing and transactional email from $9 a month for 5,000 emails, with signup forms and years of deliverability history.
Instantly is the cold-outreach benchmark the listing names. Growth costs $47 a month for 5,000 emails, with unlimited mailboxes and warm-up.
Resend is the developer API benchmark. Pro costs $20 a month for 50,000 transactional emails.
Utobo's pitch is that one tool replaces all three. On a lifetime deal that is attractive, but each of those three is better at its own job. On this desk, SendFox and Acumbamail are the established lifetime options for newsletters.
Frequently Asked Questions
01Is the Utobo Email lifetime deal still available?
Yes. Utobo Email is live on AppSumo from $39 to $219 across three tiers, with a 60-day refund. The listing shows a price-increase countdown, so the launch prices may rise.
02How many emails can I send with the Utobo Email lifetime deal?
Tier 1 allows 5,000 emails a month, Tier 2 allows 10,000, and Tier 3 allows 25,000. That one limit is shared across broadcasts, automations, cold sequences, and API email. Warm-up emails do not count.
03Does Utobo Email have signup forms?
No. The founder confirmed there are no signup forms yet and suggested connecting a free form tool such as Tally or Google Forms through Zapier.
04Can I send Utobo Email campaigns through my own SMTP provider?
Not yet. Campaigns and sequences go out through utobo's own servers. The founder said sending through your own provider should be available in about a month.
05What does Utobo Email cost without the lifetime deal?
Utobo sells each channel separately. Marketing costs $32 a month for 5,000 contacts, Transactional starts at $9 a month for 10,000 emails, and Cold outreach starts at $29 a month. Combining two or more channels takes 10% off.
Is it worth buying?
Utobo Email is a Consider.
At $39, Tier 1 costs about five weeks of the vendor's own Marketing plan, and it puts newsletters, cold email, and app email behind one API. For a small founder setup, that is a reasonable thing to try.
But the email product is three months old, the shared sending pool is small, and signup forms are missing. Buy Tier 1 to test it inside the 60-day refund window, and keep your main list where it is until the reviews come in. The Email shelf has the other email tools we track.
