Formwise lets you turn what you know into AI tools: agents trained on your documents, multi-step flows, and teams of agents working together.

You can use them inside your business, or put them behind a branded portal with a login and Stripe checkout and sell access to clients.

The deal runs from $49 to $529. Formwise's cheapest monthly plan, Creator, costs $39 a month.

The verdict? Consider, at Tier 2. Here is how it scores against the way we review deals.

TL;DR. Formwise is live on AppSumo from $49 to $529 across four tiers. The credits are a one-time pool, not monthly, so the deal is really platform access plus your own API keys. The catch: Tier 1 has no BYOK, some actions still burn credits, and the flow builder is basic. Tier 2 at $159 is the start.

What does Formwise actually do?

Formwise is a no-code builder for AI assistants that run on your own material.

The building blocks:

  • Knowledge bases from documents, web pages, and YouTube videos
  • Agents that answer and act using that knowledge, with tools and memory per customer
  • Flows that chain steps together, such as a questionnaire that ends in a formatted PDF report
  • Portals with your branding, customer login, and Stripe checkout, so clients can pay to use what you built

It connects to more than 1,500 apps, includes a platform MCP so you can build from Claude or ChatGPT, and on higher tiers integrates with HighLevel for agencies.

FormWise LLC is based in New Jersey and was founded in 2023 by a team led by CEO Justin Jagiello. It started as a white-label tool for turning ChatGPT prompts into forms, then rebuilt the whole platform in 2026; the changelog lets old "Formwise Classic" tools be imported as flows. This is its first AppSumo deal.

Is the Formwise lifetime deal active?

Yes, the AppSumo deal is live with no end date set.

It is an AppSumo Launchpad listing, AppSumo's programme for early-stage products. AppSumo runs it, so the 60-day refund applies. It holds 4.78 from 9 reviews, though only five of those reviewers are marked as buyers and one is a paid AppSumo tester.

The terms give lifetime access and all future updates to the Pro plan (Tiers 1 and 2) or the Agency plan (Tiers 3 and 4). You must activate within 60 days, and you can only downgrade within 60 days of purchase.

The terms also say future AI models may need an add-on.

Every tier gets a branded portal, customer login, and Stripe checkout. Formwise takes 10% of payments collected through its built-in Stripe Connect, which the AppSumo page does not mention.

The founder announced on 21 October that the Developer API and Portal MCP are now on Tier 2 and up. Before that, he had said the API was not part of the deal. The entitlements are still settling.

Formwise's pricing page sells Creator at $39, Pro at $129, and Agency at $229 a month on monthly billing. The page defaults to annual billing, which takes about 17% off.

The deal terms name Pro and Agency as the matching plans. On paper, Tier 2 pays back against Pro in under six weeks. That comparison flatters the deal: Pro includes 5,000 credits every month, unlimited knowledge bases, and white-label. Tier 2 gives 3,500 credits once and three knowledge bases.

The fairer comparison is Creator, the cheapest plan Tier 2 beats on features. Against Creator, Tier 2 pays back in about four months.

Tier 1 is weaker than Creator. It gives 1,000 one-time credits against Creator's 1,500 a month, one knowledge base against three, and no bring-your-own-key.

What is the honest catch?

There are three, and the first is the credits.

Warning

The honest catch

The credits are a one-time pool that never refills. At Formwise's own top-up price of $0.009 a credit, Tier 2's 3,500 credits are worth about $31, and after that you run on your own OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini key. But the founder confirmed that knowledge searches, web searches, page reads, and deep research still use Formwise credits on your own key. Top-ups are cheap, but this is not unlimited.

The second is the flow builder. A Tier 4 buyer who had asked for a refund at one point wrote that flows "only move forward": no if/else, no loops, and knowledge base search that matches exact words rather than meaning. Simple question-and-report tools work well; complex logic does not yet.

The third is maturity. The rebuilt platform is months old. Buyers report pages that need a refresh, an English-only builder, and an overnight outage on 26-27 October. The founder says Formwise does not claim formal GDPR compliance and hosts data in the United States, which matters if you sell to EU clients.

The founder's answers are a point in its favour. He answers every question plainly, including the uncomfortable one about credits, and says the company has paying monthly customers and does not depend on lifetime-deal revenue.

The Ledger

Pros · Cons

Worth your wallet

  • Tier 2 beats the $39 Creator plan on knowledge bases, seats, and features
  • Bring your own OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini key from Tier 2
  • Branded portals with login and Stripe checkout on every tier
  • HighLevel integration and white-label on Tier 3
  • Founder answers fast and plainly; three-year-old company with monthly customers
  • AppSumo-run listing with a 60-day refund

Hold the cheque

  • Credits are one-time, and some actions still use them on your own key
  • Tier 1 has no BYOK and sits below Creator
  • Flows have no if/else or loops yet
  • Formwise takes 10% of portal sales through Stripe Connect
  • No GDPR claim; data is hosted in the US
  • Rebuilt platform is months old, with an outage in its second week

Who should buy Formwise?

Buy Tier 2 if you are a consultant, coach, or expert who wants to package your knowledge as an AI tool and already has an OpenAI or Anthropic account.

Good fits:

  • consultants turning a method or checklist into an assessment that produces a report
  • coaches selling access to an assistant trained on their material
  • HighLevel agencies that want AI tools inside client accounts, on Tier 3

Use the 60-day refund window to build your actual tool. If your flow needs branching beyond simple classification, test that first.

Who should skip it?

Skip Tier 1. With no bring-your-own-key and 1,000 one-time credits, it runs out and stops.

Skip it if you need complex automation logic. n8n, free to self-host, handles branching and loops far better, though it has no client portal.

Skip it if you sell to EU clients who will ask for a data processing agreement. The founder has not offered one.

How does Formwise compare to Pickaxe, MindPal and Chatbase?

Pickaxe is the closest rival for selling AI tools. Gold costs $37 a month, with white-label, a custom domain, and $15 of monthly credits.

MindPal is the closest match for multi-agent workflows. Pro costs $49 a month with 6,000 AI credits a month.

Chatbase is a support chatbot rather than a flow and portal builder. Hobby costs $40 a month.

Formwise's lifetime deal is cheaper than a year of any of them, as long as you supply your own keys. On this desk, DM Champ is another white-label AI deal for agencies, and the AI shelf has the rest.

Frequently Asked Questions

01Is the Formwise lifetime deal still available?

Yes. Formwise is live on AppSumo from $49 to $529 across four tiers, with a 60-day refund and no end date set.

02Do Formwise lifetime credits refill every month?

No. Each tier includes a one-time pool of credits: 1,000, 3,500, 8,500, or 15,000. When they run out, you can use your own API key from Tier 2 or buy more credits at $0.009 each.

03Does Formwise still use credits if I bring my own API key?

Yes, for some actions. The founder confirmed that knowledge searches, web searches, page reads, deep research, and image generation still use Formwise credits. Chat itself runs on your key.

04Which Formwise tier should I buy?

Tier 2 at $159 for solo builders, because it adds bring-your-own-key, three knowledge bases, and the Developer API. Tier 3 at $309 for agencies that need white-label and HighLevel. Skip Tier 1.

05What does Formwise cost without the lifetime deal?

Creator costs $39, Pro $129, and Agency $229 a month on monthly billing, with about 17% off on annual billing. Each monthly plan includes a monthly credit allowance.

Is it worth buying?

Formwise is a Consider.

Tier 2 at $159 is fair value for a platform that lets you build and sell AI tools from your own knowledge, especially if you already pay for an AI API. The founder has been unusually clear about what the deal does and does not include.

But the credits are one-time, the flow builder is basic, and the rebuilt platform is months old. Buy Tier 2 or Tier 3, bring your own keys, and build your real tool inside the 60-day refund window before you rely on it.
