Zavi AI turns speech into clean, written text in whatever app you are typing in.

You talk, and it removes the filler words, fixes the grammar, and can translate or rewrite the result in a set tone. It runs on Mac, Windows, iPhone, and Android.

The AppSumo deal starts at **$39**. Zavi's own Pro plan costs **$7.99 a month**, not the $79 a month the listing implies.

The verdict? **Consider**, and only at Tier 1. Here is how it scores against [the way we review deals](https://thelifetimedeal.com/#how-we-review).

**TL;DR.** Zavi AI is live on AppSumo from $39 to $439 across four tiers. Tier 1 pays back in about five months against the $7.99 monthly Pro plan. The catch: a very young vendor, capped cloud words where Pro is unlimited, and a privacy policy that contradicts the listing. Tier 1 is a cheap trial, not a team buy.

> ## The Verdict
>
> **Consider** 6.0/10 — A cheap Tier 1 from a vendor that has not yet earned a lifetime bet.
>
> Zavi AI earns a Consider because $39 is a small sum for a dictation app that already ships on four platforms, and it pays back inside a year even against the annual plan. It stops short of a Buy because the company is two founders and eight months of public apps, the store ratings sit near 3.5, and the listing's privacy and ratings claims do not match the vendor's own pages.

## What does Zavi AI actually do?

Zavi is a voice keyboard and desktop dictation app. You press a key or tap the mic, speak, and the text lands in the field you were using: Gmail, Slack, WhatsApp, a document, anything.

Three things sit on top of plain speech-to-text:

- **Style and tone.** It rewrites what you said as casual, professional, or in a saved brand voice.
- **Live translation.** Speak in one language and the text comes out in another.
- **Magic Wand.** Select any text and ask Zavi to edit it by voice.

The company is run by Raman Goyal and Himanshu Kumar from Delhi, and is bootstrapped. The iPhone app first shipped in February 2026, and the [Product Hunt launch](https://www.producthunt.com/products/zavi-ai-voice-talk-to-text/launches/zavi-ai-voice-to-action-os) finished #7 on the day.

The [public changelog](https://www.zavivoice.com/changelog) shows Zavi moving towards a "Voice to Action OS" with background agents and app actions. None of those agent features are part of this deal.

## Is the Zavi AI lifetime deal active?

Yes, the AppSumo deal is live.

It is an **AppSumo Launchpad** listing, AppSumo's programme for early-stage products. AppSumo runs the listing itself, so its 60-day refund applies. A price-increase countdown sits on the listing, so the $39 entry price may not last.

There are no buyer reviews yet. This is Zavi's first AppSumo deal.

The terms give lifetime access, all future plan updates, and upgrades or downgrades between the four tiers. You must activate within 60 days. There are no codes and no stacking.

## What does the Zavi AI deal include?

| | T1 · $39 | T2 · $119 | T3 · $239 | T4 · $439 |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Cloud words per month | 200k | 600k | 1.4M | 3M |
| Team members | 1 | 3 | 7 | 15 |
| Shared brand voice | no | yes | yes | yes |
| Bring your own API keys | no | no | yes | yes |
| On-device mode | yes | yes | yes | yes |
| Live translation and Magic Wand | yes | yes | yes | yes |

**Cloud words** are the words Zavi's servers write from your speech each month. They reset monthly. 200,000 words is a lot for one person: roughly 6,500 words a day.

Read the bring-your-own-key row carefully. AppSumo lists BYOK as a common feature, but the FAQ and plan text limit it to **Tier 3 and above**. Below Tier 3, you are on Zavi's cloud words and nothing else.

The founder confirmed in the [AppSumo Q&A](https://appsumo.com/products/zavi-ai/questions/team-member-slots-1559841/) that installing on several of your own devices does not use up a team seat.

## How do the maths work out?

**The maths** — Tier 1 vs Pro: LTD $39 vs $7.99/mo

- Break-even: 0.4 years (5 months at $7.99/mo)

| Year | Subscription cost | LTD cost | Saving |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 1-year | $95.88 | $39 | +$56.88 |
| 3-year | $287.64 | $39 | +$248.64 |
| 5-year | $479.40 | $39 | +$440.40 |

[Zavi's pricing page](https://www.zavivoice.com/pricing) sells **Pro at $7.99 a month**, or $49.99 a year. **Teams** costs $9.99 per seat a month, or $79.99 per seat a year.

Tier 1 at $39 pays back in about five months on monthly billing. Against the annual plan, it takes about nine and a half months.

AppSumo's "original price" of $948 a year for Tier 1 works out to $79 a month. That is about ten times what Zavi actually charges. Ignore it.

The team tiers pay back in three to four months against Teams pricing, but only if every seat is used. Three seats of Teams cost $29.97 a month; seven cost $69.93.

## What is the honest catch?

There are three.

> **The honest catch**
>
> The listing and the vendor's own pages disagree. AppSumo's FAQ says on-device processing is "the default privacy mode". Zavi's [privacy policy](https://www.zavivoice.com/privacy) says your audio and text may be sent to Google, Anthropic, and OpenAI, and never mentions on-device processing. If privacy is why you want this, ask the founder in the Q&A before you pay.

The second is the **cap**. Zavi's paid Pro plan is sold as unlimited. The lifetime deal caps cloud words each month, and neither the listing nor the [terms](https://www.zavivoice.com/terms) say what happens when you run out. BYOK, the obvious way round the cap, starts at Tier 3.

The third is the **vendor's record**. Zavi is two founders, bootstrapped, with public apps less than a year old. The listing says "Rated 5/5 on iOS and Android", but the [Google Play listing](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pingpros.keyboard) shows 3.4 from 34 reviews, and the US App Store shows 3.5 from 2. Play reviewers report transcriptions that silently fail and swear words being filtered out.

### Pros

- Tier 1 pays back in about five months against the $7.99 monthly plan
- Works in any app on Mac, Windows, iPhone, and Android
- Tone rewriting, live translation, and voice editing on every tier
- 200,000 cloud words a month is plenty for one person
- AppSumo-run listing with a 60-day refund

### Cons

- Pro is unlimited; the lifetime deal caps cloud words
- Overage behaviour is not documented
- Bring-your-own-key only from Tier 3
- Privacy policy contradicts the listing's on-device claim
- Store ratings near 3.5, not the 5/5 the listing claims
- Two-founder bootstrapped company, first AppSumo deal

## Who should buy Zavi AI?

Buy Tier 1 if you type a lot, already like voice input, and want a cheap way to see whether AI-cleaned dictation suits you.

Good fits:

- founders and consultants who write long emails and Slack messages
- people who write in one language and send in another
- anyone paying for a dictation app on one device who wants it on all of them

Use the 60-day refund window properly. Dictate for real every day, try the cloud words limit, and check whether on-device mode works the way the listing says.

## Who should skip it?

Skip the team tiers. Paying $239 or $439 up front to a vendor this young is a bigger bet than the payback maths can justify.

Skip it if privacy is the reason you want dictation. Until the privacy policy and the listing agree, assume your audio goes to cloud AI providers.

Skip it if you already have [Acti](https://thelifetimedeal.com/reviews/acti-lifetime-deal). It covers the same phone-keyboard dictation ground, from a funded team.

## How does Zavi AI compare to Wispr Flow and Superwhisper?

[Wispr Flow](https://wisprflow.ai/pricing) is the best-known AI dictation app. Pro costs $15 per user a month, or $12 on annual billing, and it has a free tier of 2,000 words a week on desktop.

[Superwhisper](https://superwhisper.com/) is the Mac-first option with local Whisper models. Pro is $8.49 a month, and it sells an **official lifetime licence at $249.99**. For heavy users, a lifetime plan sold directly by an established vendor is the safer long-term bet.

[Willow Voice](https://willowvoice.com/pricing) costs the same as Wispr Flow, at $15 a month.

Zavi is the cheapest of the four by a distance, and the only one with a $39 lifetime entry. It is also the youngest. For writing help after the dictation, [Grammarly](https://thelifetimedeal.com/reviews/grammarly-lifetime-deal) is the established name on this desk.

## Frequently Asked Questions

## Frequently asked questions

### Is the Zavi AI lifetime deal still available?

Yes. Zavi AI is live on AppSumo from $39 to $439 across four tiers, with a 60-day refund. The listing shows a price-increase countdown, so the entry price may rise.

### How much does Zavi AI cost without the lifetime deal?

Pro costs $7.99 a month on monthly billing, or $49.99 a year. Teams costs $9.99 per seat a month, or $79.99 per seat a year. A free plan allows 1,000 words a day.

### Is the Zavi AI lifetime deal unlimited?

No. Each tier caps cloud words per month: 200,000 on Tier 1, up to 3 million on Tier 4. The paid Pro subscription is sold as unlimited. The listing does not say what happens when you hit the cap.

### Does Zavi AI process my voice on-device?

The AppSumo FAQ says on-device processing is the default. Zavi's privacy policy says audio and text may be sent to Google, Anthropic, and OpenAI, and does not mention on-device processing. Ask the founder to clarify before relying on it.

### Which Zavi AI tier should I buy?

Tier 1 at $39 for one person. It pays back in about five months and keeps the risk small. The team tiers only make sense if you fill every seat and trust the vendor with a larger sum.

## Is it worth buying?

Zavi AI is a **Consider**.

At $39, Tier 1 is cheap enough to try, and the maths work even against the annual plan. The product already runs on four platforms and does more than plain speech-to-text.

But the vendor is young, the ratings are modest, and the listing's claims run ahead of its own privacy policy and store pages. Buy Tier 1, use the 60-day refund window hard, and leave the team tiers alone. The [Productivity shelf](https://thelifetimedeal.com/category/productivity) has the other tools we track.
