Syncupp is a project manager for small teams that live on WhatsApp.

It puts tasks, team chat, meetings, time tracking, and GPS attendance in one app. Alerts and approvals go out on WhatsApp. An XP and coins leaderboard turns finished tasks into points.

The AppSumo deal starts at **$49** for two users.

The verdict? **Consider.** Here is how it scores against [the way we review deals](/#how-we-review).

**TL;DR.** Syncupp is live on AppSumo from $49 to $379. Every tier pays back in two to three months against the vendor's $8-per-user plan. The catch: a two-year-old, bootstrapped vendor that has already pivoted once, no reviews yet, and workspace and AI caps the subscription does not carry. A Consider.

> ## The Verdict
> **Consider** 6.4/10 — A genuinely different team app, from a vendor too young to judge on a lifetime buy.
>
> Syncupp is a Consider because the WhatsApp alerts, GPS attendance, and gamification are a bundle Asana, ClickUp, and Trello do not offer, and the payback is fast. It stops short because the company was founded in December 2023, changed its product and pricing in the last eighteen months, and launched this deal with no reviews. Test it on real work inside the refund window.

## What does Syncupp actually do?

Syncupp is a team operations app for agencies and small businesses.

The **task side** is standard: Kanban, list, and calendar views, subtasks, dependencies, recurring tasks, custom fields, file attachments, and comments.

The **team side** adds channels and direct messages, Google Meet meetings with Calendar sync, per-task time tracking with weekly timesheets, and Zapier, Make, and Pabbly automations.

Two things set it apart.

The first is **WhatsApp**. Daily summaries, task and overdue alerts, and leave or timesheet approvals reach people on WhatsApp, where they can reply APPROVE or DENY.

The second is **attendance and gamification**. Staff check in with GPS, managers handle leave and holidays, and finished work earns XP, streaks, coins, and badges on a weekly leaderboard.

An AI assistant creates and summarises tasks. It runs on monthly AI credits, or on your own Gemini, OpenAI, or Groq key at no credit cost.

The company behind it is Surge Lion Technologies, run by brothers Ritwik and Nikhil Ahlawat. AppSumo lists it as founded in December 2023, bootstrapped, with one to ten staff.

## Is the Syncupp lifetime deal active?

Yes, the AppSumo deal is live with no end date set.

It is an **AppSumo Launchpad** listing, AppSumo's label for early-stage products. It opened on launch day with no reviews and no questions.

The terms give lifetime access, all future plan updates, upgrades and downgrades between the four tiers, and a 60-day refund. You must activate within 60 days. The vendor's own subscriptions carry only a 7-day refund.

## What does the Syncupp deal include?

| | T1 · $49 | T2 · $99 | T3 · $199 | T4 · $379 |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Users | 2 | 6 | 12 | unlimited |
| Workspaces | 1 | 1 | 2 | 4 |
| AI credits per month | 300 | 1,000 | 2,500 | 5,000 |
| WhatsApp alerts and approvals | yes | yes | yes | yes |
| GPS attendance and leave | yes | yes | yes | yes |
| Bring your own AI key | yes | yes | yes | yes |

Only three things change between tiers: users, workspaces, and AI credits. Everything else, from the leaderboard to the Slack and Claude MCP integrations, is on every tier.

A seat is anyone with a login, and seats can be reassigned. The vendor offers to help import from ClickUp, Asana, Trello, or a CSV.

## How do the maths work out?

**The maths** — Tier 1 vs 2 seats: LTD $49 vs $16/mo

- Break-even: 0.3 years (4 months at $16/mo)

| Year | Subscription cost | LTD cost | Saving |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 1-year | $192 | $49 | +$143 |
| 3-year | $576 | $49 | +$527 |
| 5-year | $960 | $49 | +$911 |

[Syncupp's pricing page](https://syncupp.com/pricing) sells **Small teams at $8 per user per month** on monthly billing, for up to 20 users. Billed yearly, it drops to $5 per user. **Growing teams costs $149 a month** flat for unlimited users.

Tier 1 covers two users, which is $16 a month. It pays back in about three months.

Tier 2 at $99 covers six users, which is $48 a month, and pays back in about two months. Tier 3 at $199 covers twelve users at $96 a month, also about two months.

Tier 4 at $379 matches Growing teams at $149 a month, and pays back in under three months. It only makes sense if your team is past 18 people, because below that, $8 per user is cheaper than $149 flat.

Against yearly billing at $5 per user, every payback stretches by about half again. It is still under six months on every tier.

## What is the honest catch?

There are three. The first is the vendor's history.

> **The honest catch**
>
> Syncupp has changed shape quickly. An [archived pricing page from March 2025](https://web.archive.org/web/20250320115859/https://syncupp.com/pricing/) shows it as a business "SuperApp" with proposals and invoices, sold at flat team prices from $9 a month. Today it is a gamified project manager priced per user. The company also [sold its own lifetime deal](https://web.archive.org/web/20250906101411/https://syncupp.com/about) on its website in 2025. A lifetime buy depends on that two-founder team holding a direction for years.

The second is **caps the subscription does not have**. The pricing page says every plan includes "the full product" with no feature gates, and it lists no workspace or AI credit limits. The deal caps workspaces at one to four and AI credits at 300 to 5,000 a month. Your own AI key gets round the credit cap; nothing gets round the workspace cap.

The third is **WhatsApp itself**. The alerts run on Meta's official business API, which Meta bills per conversation. The listing does not say whether heavy WhatsApp use on a lifetime account is limited, and that is a running cost the vendor carries for you forever.

### Pros

- WhatsApp alerts and reply-to-approve flows that mainstream PM tools lack
- GPS attendance, leave, and timesheets in the same app as tasks
- Every tier pays back in two to three months at monthly billing
- Bring your own Gemini, OpenAI, or Groq key for unlimited AI
- Vendor helps import from ClickUp, Asana, and Trello
- 60-day refund against the vendor's 7-day policy

### Cons

- Vendor founded in December 2023, bootstrapped, one to ten staff
- Product and pricing changed heavily in eighteen months
- Workspace caps and AI credit limits the subscription does not list
- No reviews on AppSumo and only two older reviews anywhere else
- Long-term WhatsApp costs fall on a small company

## Who should buy Syncupp?

Buy it if your team already runs on WhatsApp groups and you want that work tracked somewhere.

Good fits:

- agencies of six to twelve people who coordinate on WhatsApp today
- field and hybrid teams that need GPS check-in and leave approvals
- small businesses that want attendance and tasks in one place
- managers who think a leaderboard will help a team finish work

Tier 2 at $99 is the sensible starting point. Six seats cover most small agencies.

## Who should skip it?

Skip it if your team works in Slack and email. The WhatsApp and attendance features are the reason to buy, and without them [a broader workspace like FuseBase](/reviews/fusebase-lifetime-deal) does more.

Skip it if you need several client workspaces on a small budget. Tier 1 and Tier 2 get one workspace each.

Skip it if the tool has to outlast the company. A two-year-old, bootstrapped vendor is the risk you are buying.

## How does Syncupp compare to Asana, ClickUp, and Trello?

[Asana Starter](https://asana.com/pricing) costs $13.49 per user a month, [Trello Standard](https://trello.com/pricing) $6, and [ClickUp](https://clickup.com/pricing) about $10. All three are mature task managers with large ecosystems.

None of them bundle GPS attendance or WhatsApp approvals. That bundle is what Syncupp is selling, mainly to teams in India and other WhatsApp-first markets.

On this desk, [AgencyPro](/reviews/agencypro-lifetime-deal) is the agency operations tool we have reviewed, and [Project.co](/reviews/project-co-lifetime-deal) is a project manager we scored a Skip. The [Productivity shelf](/category/productivity) has the rest.

### Which Syncupp tier should I buy?

Tier 2 at $99 for most small teams. It covers 6 users, 1 workspace, and 1,000 AI credits a month. Tier 3 at $199 adds 12 users and a second workspace.

### What does Syncupp cost without the lifetime deal?

## Is it worth buying?

Syncupp is a **Consider**.

The product does something the big project managers do not: it meets a WhatsApp-first team where it already works, and adds attendance and a leaderboard on top. The maths is easy, with payback inside three months on every tier.

The doubt is the company. It is young, small, and has already changed what it sells once. Buy Tier 2, move one real project and one month of attendance onto it inside the 60 days, and keep it only if the team actually uses it.
